Documents providing information relating to Mambo.

Mambo* Core Files

(0/3)

The Mambo system itself and files that modify or supplement the core.

Mambo* Plugins - functional

(0/5)

Functions can be added to Mambo* by installing plugins - using the Universal Installer from Mambo* 4.6+.  Technically, plugins can be one of three types, but all are installed in the same way:

  • Components are the largest plugins and typically provide a complete application, such as this file repository
  • Modules are the code that creates smaller panes in the browser window, around the main area occupied by the current component
  • Mambots add extra functionality, such as extending the site search to include the files in a repository, but do not alter the visible interface.

Mambo* Plugins - Templates for appearance

(0/0)

You can greatly modify the appearance of a Mambo* site by changing the template that is in use.  The content will be preserved, but it may be rearranged by a different template.  Images, colours, typefaces, type sizes call all be altered by a template.

Templates are installed using the Universal Installer (Mambo* 4.6 and beyond).  They are managed through the admin interface, "Site" menu, "TemplateManager" submenu.

Mambo* SEF Extensions

(0/4)

SEF extensions for Mambo components - both core and selected third party. Each of these contains a sef_ext.php file that will work with the Mambo 4.6 SEF facilities if they are activated and configured to be aware of the relevant component.  PLEASE NOTE that most of these will work ONLY after the Mambo 4.6 patch number 2 has been applied to Mambo 4.6 RC1.  The patch file is available on request from Martin Brampton.
